Abiding Savior Lutheran
Church
Milwaukee, WI
The
organ at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church is conceived along traditional
North
German lines with the necessary adaptations which allow the organ to
achieve good balance and blend in the church. The instrument contains
16 ranks, 906 pipes, and utilizes suspended mechanical key action and
mechanical stop action. The casework is of white oak and incorporated
architectural detailing which is used in the church. The voicing and
tonal finishing of the instrument were completed in the church to assure
the best balance and blend considering the unique acoustics of the
room. The instrument contains four ranks of pipes which were rebuilt
from old
pipes. The Swell windchest was also rebuilt from an early 20th century
Odell organ. All other material is new. All mechanical portions of
the instrument, as well as the flue pipes, were fabricated in the Builder's
shop. Pedal duplexing is by transmission of wind. |
